nzracer.com weekly:  Red hot debate for race stewards

 Bell Timaru 10_1.jpg

Welcome to another week of great racing with nzracer.com. A number of protests were lodged over several incidents that occurred during the first BNT V8s race at Timaru in January.  Particularly the issue of parc ferme  under red flag conditions - what can and cannot be done by crews on cars.  Recently released is the hearing into this and other issues relating to the race.  It makes good reading and has a very common sense approach.

Congratulations to Shane van Gisbergen on his podium finish in the first V8 Supercar round of the season held at in Abu Dhabi.  This could be a very exciting year for the Stone Brothers Racing team.

Back in NZ we had the classic car meeting at Teretonga, the GTRNZ's were in actino at Pukeohe while the jetsprints turned it on at Meremere abd the powerboats churned up the Gulf Harbour.

More comment and commentary on the nzracer.com website, and don't forget to pick up the latest issue of the  magazine (free) from BNT, Repco, and Appco  stores.

Until next time, have a good week.
